Baptism

BaptismBaptism is a covenant between an individual and God. It is God's word to us, proclaiming our adoption by grace and our word to God, promising our response of faith and love. Because baptism is a sacrament of God's grace and a covenant that God has initiated, it should not be repeated. However, we may desire to renew the commitment made at our baptism. Instead of rebaptism, Christ Church offers baptismal renewal at the close of worship once a year, the Sunday before Easter. For more information about the United Methodist Church's views on baptism visit www.umc.org.

We welcome your inquiry about the sacrament of baptism and look forward to assisting your family with planning this special day. It is our desire to make your baptism a most memorable occasion. Christ Church offers baptism at all services most weekends of the year.
