Devotion
Leader:
S.A.M. devotion leaders help to
articulate and clarify the Christian spirituality that is at
the heart of the Monday evening S.A.M. gatherings. Devotion
leaders are responsible for providing a 5-10 minute period of
devotions at the Monday gatherings, thereby providing the
people with some spiritual nourishment.
Greeter/
Front Desk:
S.A.M. greeters help to provide
a welcoming environment at the Monday evening S.A.M.
gathering. In addition to greeting people, SAM greeters also
work at the weekly registration tables, helping people to
“sign in” and provide people with information. Greeters
welcome newcomers, introduce them to others, direct them to
the correct class and help them feel comfortable.
Resource Leader:
S.A.M.
resource leaders are people who care deeply about single
adults and who have an interest in leading (resourcing) one of
the S.A.M. Monday evening courses and retreats might include
those issues that are particularly meaningful to the single
adult? Stress management, relationship issues, life as a
Christian single, self-image, etc. Obviously, a certain
amount of giftedness in the area of teaching is required.
Snack Host/ Hostess:
Snack hosts/hostesses prepare the tables, setting out the
snacks and drinks for the social time following Monday night
meetings.
