Pressure Screening:
Take blood
pressure the second Sunday of each month after each morning
service.
Interfaith
Volunteer Caregiver:
Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers provide assistance to the
frail elderly or others in need. This is a ministry of
helping others. Assistance may take the form of a visit,
doing errands for those unable to leave their home, providing
transportation to doctor’s appointments or responding to other
needs as identified
Casserole Team:
This ministry involves
preparing and/or delivering meals to people returning from
hospital or to needy shut-ins. Meals to any individual/family
are based on specific circumstances.
Health
Education Planning Team:
Health ministries has a variety
of opportunities in which to serve. The health cabinet is
comprised of individuals who serve in many ways. Some are
Interfaith Volunteer caregivers, some help with blood pressure
screening, assist at the health fair or assist with flu
immunizations. Other volunteers help to determine educational
priorities and help prepare the health newsletter.
Sunday Morning Transportation Ministry Driver:
The transportation
ministry provides rides to the 11:00 a.m. worship service on
Sunday mornings for members who have no transportation.
Volunteers are needed to be on call one Sunday a month to
drive members to church on an as needed basis.
Sunday Morning Transportation Phone Volunteer:
The transportation
ministry provides rides to the 11:00 a.m. worship service on
Sunday mornings for members who have no transportation.
Volunteers are needed to take phone calls in the church office
one Sunday per month from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. This person will
then contact the driver “on call” to provide the link between
those requiring transportation and the driver.
