Single Adult Ministries (S.A.M.)
provides a wide variety of educational and growth
opportunities on Monday nights.
Divorce
Recovery Workshops provide
support and nurture for those experiencing the reality of
separation or divorce.
PHD
(Passing the Hurdles of Divorce)
is the “getting on with life” course.
SALT
(Singles Affirm Life Together
provides topics for discussion/study groups of general
interest to singles.
Searchers and Seekers is a
beginners Bible study for those with Bible/faith questions.
Grief
Support is a series offered
occasionally which creates a healing community for those
grieving over the death of a spouse.
SOLO is a course offered
occasionally to help with the challenge of single parenting.
They have a
minimum of one hands-on mission project per year.
They
encourage appropriately gifted people to lead or facilitate a
Monday night class.
They
support financially and prayerfully in organization or
ministry such as the American Cancer Society, Pittsburgh
Cares, and IHN that are laboring to
better the community.
They
interpret to S.A.M. members the urgent need to be involved in
ministry for the sake of spiritual health and growth.
S.A.M. seeks to be an inclusive,
diverse community of singles bearing witness to the unifying
presence of Jesus Christ.
S.A.M. has a wide variety of social
events on Friday or Saturday nights, on holidays, and in special-interest
groups such as bowling, bridge and dance instruction.
