Fellowship

Men at Christ Church have traditionally been responsible for a large, all-church event each fall – the Corn Roast.  This is now combined with a Classic Car Show and draws many from the church and surrounding community.

They hold an annual Men’s Wild Game Dinner complete with a speaker and a wild array of unique foods – a real “man’s meal.”

Men also co-sponsor, along with Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the annual Sports Breakfast.  The speaker is always a professional athlete.  Another highlight includes recognition of area high school Christian athletes.

Spiritual Development

• Men’s Bible Study – done periodically in short term classes

• Covenant Discipleship Groups – see Small Group Ministries brochure

• Small Group Involvement – see Small Group Ministries brochure

• Retired Men’s Group – weekly class each Wednesday morning

• United Methodist Men’s Conference – occurs at different times throughout the year.

Service

Men’s service is evident in all aspects of life at Christ Church in such areas as:

• Dad’s night at JAM one Sunday night/month

• Retired Men’s Work Group

• “Hands-on” Teams in the community

• Leadership in church classes

• Committee/Board members and chairpersons

• Small Group leadership

• Lay Pastors and other caring ministries

• Hospitality ministries

• Round Table Ministry (food service)
