Passover Seder Meal
- On Wednesday, March 12 we will participate in a Passover
Seder meal. This event is a joint effort by Rabbi Alex Greenbaum
from the Beth El Congregation of South Hills, the American Jewish
Committee, Pittsburgh Chapter and Christ Church. (Rabbi Greenbaum is
pictured with Sue Irwin, Cindy Olszewski, Rev. Thompson, Sue Simon
and Chef Gary.) Both Rabbi Greenbaum and Duane Thompson will be our
leaders for the evening. Rabbi Greenbaum will lead our Seder just as
he would in his home with his family. It will be a fun, fast-paced
evening filled with storytelling, singing, eating, games and a
scavenger hunt for the children. Because this is an actual Seder
meal, the schedule will be different than our regular WNAC. This is
a two-hour program that begins at 6 p.m. ending around 8 p.m.
with a full dinner being served in the middle.
Menu: Matzoh Ball soup,
Carrots, Mashed potatoes, Charoset (similar to apple crisp), Fruity
chicken. Because this is an authentic seder meal there will be no
special children’s menu. $7 per person, $4/children under 12.
This is an event which children will enjoy attending with their
parents, especially those who have gone through the Communion
Enrichment class. Registrations are required (we will not be able to
accommodate walk-ins). Nursery care is available by reservation
only. RSVP to the
church office. |
