MANY OF OUR COLLEGE STUDENTS WILL BE RETURNING HOME for the
summer in the next weeks. They have been receiving weekly
Christ Church up-dates, occasional care packages and
inspirational messages from our post-high ministry. Please
look for these young adults and welcome them back into our
community of faith.

REEL Sanctuary meets Saturday, May 17! It is a time for
gathering together to watch a film, then discuss the film in a
sacred context afterwards. We will be seeing "The Chronicles
of Narnia: Prince Caspian." Theater and time TBD. After
viewing the movie, there will be a group discussion about the
film and how it relates to our faith and Christianity

AMBRIDGE AREA STEEL DRUM BAND-Saturday,
May 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary!
The Ambridge Area High School Steel Drum Band, under the
direction of Mr. Todd Hartman, has received local & national
recognition for its outstanding musical ability, unique style,
and infectious energy. Reception follows the concert in the
Otterbein Room. Tickets - $10, adults; $5, students. Tickets
may be purchased in advance at the church office or at the
door.
LOOKING AHEAD
SEMINAR CLASS
will host Tracy Merrick and Pat Morris, lay delegates from
Western PA Conference to the General Conference of the United
Methodist Church, to report on issues presented, debated and
accepted or rejected into our discipline. This is a follow up
to the presentation regarding the General Conference which we
discussed in the class with Sally Ernst in February. All are
welcome. Come join us at 9:30 a.m. in A105 Sunday, May 18.
FIELD OF DREAMS WORKDAY is Saturday, May 17, at 9:00 a.m. to
noon. Everyone is invited to help make our church playground
ready for the summer. Simple tasks for many hands. Call Sue

MEET OUR LAY LEADERS! Lay Leaders serve as advocates for and
representative of the laity. Marie Hunt will be available in
the Otterbein Room Sunday, May 18 and June 8 between Sunday
morning worship services. Henry Huffman will be available
after the 6:00 p.m. service. Join them for conversation-or
just stop in and introduce yourself!
ROUNDTABLE TAKE-OUT! This month Chef Gary’s making meat and
marinara sauces by the quart ($6). Pick your order up between
services on Sunday, May 18. Orders must be made by Wednesday,
May 14. Sign the blue insert or call the church office to

JIMMY LIU, PIANIST will be in concert at Christ
Church Friday, June 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Jimmy
will be a senior at Carnegie Mellon University majoring in
piano performance and music education. Jimmy will be the music
intern again this summer at Christ Church for the second year
in a row. This upcoming concert will not only feature works
for solo piano, but violin and voice, featuring Adam Liu,
Wuyan Liu and Sabrina Liu. Concert is free.
